On an ESR reach truck, operators work with skill and precision at any height without compromising productivity. The ESR Series features various combinations of advanced hydraulics and motors, programmable features, intuitive displays, one-touch controls and camera options that all work together to raise performance.

  • The ESR reach trucks’ optional Xpress Lower technology can double lowering speeds, resulting in substantial savings in time and money.
  • The optional Auto Height Select feature automatically stops the forks at programmed rack heights - at the push of a button without looking away from the load - to improve throughput and avoid product, rack and lift truck damage.
  • The Tilt Position Assist option compensates for mast and carriage deflection and automatically levels forks relative to the ground for more precise positioning.

Solid Hardware as Standard

To ensure that your reach truck is equipped with the right mast for your application, three mast designs are available for the ESR Series: 

heavy duty
super duty
super duty +

All three versions have been designed by Crown to resist flexing which reduces swaying at height and mast vibrations. 

They offer impressive residual capacities of up to 1200 kg at 12 m lift height. Other benefits include reduced loading and unloading times, higher throughput, improved operator confidence and added levels of safety.

Operators of an ESR reach truck can choose the optimal position for control, visibility and workflow.

ESR Series reach trucks include adjustability for suspension seat height/weight and forward/reverse seat position, as well as seat tilt and lumbar support.

The D4 Armrest can be mounted to the seat or the reach truck. Its height and horizontal position are also adjustable, as are steering tiller height and horizontal position and display screen inclination.

The operator-focused D4 Armrest, available as standard on the ESR 1260 and as an option for the ESR 1220 and ESR 1240, helps operators achieve more with adjustability, ergonomic comfort and adaptability.

Smooth and Predictable Driving Behaviour

The ESR Series reach trucks offer a unique driving experience.

The Gena operating system allows adjustment of driving parameters such as acceleration, braking, or travel speed to specific operator and application requirements, creating an individual driving experience for skilled operators as well as for novices.

Crown's intelligent system for cornering speed control recognises whether the operator is driving into or out of a curve, analysing steer tyre angle, driving direction and steering direction, and automatically adjusts speed and acceleration for safety and performance.

Using the reach truck in wet, dusty or freezer applications will greatly benefit from Crown's patented OnTrac anti-slip traction control which reduces tyre spin during acceleration, plugging and braking.

Options and Accessories

V-Force lithium-ion batteries can improve performance and productivity. They offer a very short charging time, tolerate unlimited opportunity charging, and simplify battery management by avoiding the need for daily maintenance, spare batteries, or special rooms for charging.

The use of a lithium-ion battery in combination with regenerative lowering enables energy savings of up to 30%.

Floor spotlights - available in blue or red colour or as floor linelights - can alert pedestrians of a forklift's presence.
